Robyn Ryan's Final Concert
St Agnes Church, Port Macquarie
Sunday, 12th December 2021

Robyn Ryan (OAM) was the founding Musical Director of Hastings Choristers in 1990; and this year, after more than 30 years at the helm, she decided to hand on the baton. Robyn’s inspiration and drive for excellence has been central to developing the choir’s long- standing reputation for quality performances.

Christmas with the Choristers on Sunday 12th December 2021 at St Agnes Church, was her final concert with the choir.

And Christmas with the Choristers was the Hastings Choristers' first concert since December 2019!

Taking the audience on a wonderful pre-Christmas journey, our SATB choir Cantorus sang favourite choruses from Handel’s uplifting Messiah, and all of Schubert’s Mass in G Major, with the renowned organist Heather Moen-Boyd. Our female ensemble Cantabile presented a range of enchanting Christmas songs. A highlight of the concert was the world première of a specially commissioned choral work Our Song, composed by Ben Robinson who grew up in Port Macquarie.
